About Melanie
Melanie is inspired by the beauty found in the outdoors.
From the view at the top of the hill in her neighborhood to an alpine meadow reached after a long hike, Melanie aims to represent the beauty of these places through art.
Melanie began painting as a teenager. Thanks to a dear friend and her friend’s mother who introduced her to oil painting and a fabulous teacher who ignited a love of the history of art, creating art that tells a story of a place became an ever-growing passion.
Melanie lives in Atlanta with her husband and two daughters and baby son, who all enjoy walking to the playground, making messes in the kitchen, and creating art together.
